IFCD 3 recently completed the planting of more than 5,000
Pickerelweed, Ravensfoot Sedge, Squarestem Spike rush and water lily

Grapevine Creek Cleanout & Flume Repair
Location: Grapevine Creek where it passes through Valley Ranch
Result
One of the most significant maintenance undertakings in the District’s history was the clearing and restructuring of Grapevine Creek where it passes through Valley Ranch. The IFCD 3 maintenance team
removed debris, excess surface vegetation and trees that were inhibiting storm water flow. Additionally, repair activities were conducted on a concrete flume contained within the creek structure to re-establish proper flow stop water from flowing below
the flume. The project was topped off by initiating routine maintenance of the creek area, adding a 20-ft. strip of land on both sides of the waterway to the District’s regular mowing
program.
